Dubble D is Manchester(UK) based drummer and producer Danny Ward.
Danny has worked with artists from live electronic band 2020Soundsystem to renowned jazz musicians Gilad Atzmon and Jim Mullen. He has also worked as musical director and percussionist for both Rae & Christian and AIM on tour, and has produced with notable artists such as Fila Brazilia and The Pharcyde.
A1) Temple is a big room dance tune in the classic style with a big build-up. Quality programming and production give a wide-open, crystal clear fat sound.125 bpm.
A2) Rodent is a breezy track with a clever vocal sample, multiple delay kick drum, and Jamaica horn riff playing counter rhythms off each other to produce an irresistible groove that goes and goes. The breakdown, which is the last two minutes of the track, is a quality vibe. 120 bpm.
B1) Rope Trick is an off-kilter 4/4 beat with a nice variation on the classic House piano chord progression, giving the track a delicious asymmetrical groove. A cool vocal sample chants Lets feel the vibe. A classy track with a singular goal making you groove hard. 119 bpm.
B2) Brogue is a broken beat groove that really swings. The groove slowly mutates into a more conventional 4/4 rhythm with the kick drum laying down the 4/4 groove under the broken beat. A very infectious groove that dancers will love. Taking the dance floor further out. 122 bpm.
