Five Minutes, Today, Forever, is a deep grooving track with an exhilerating open, spacey, sounscape. But who is feeling that excitement and anticipation? Dennis deSantis has created a defiant anti-Iraq war statement, using a chilling voice sample by former US President, Ronald Reagan.
On August 11, 1984, then-US-president Ronald Reagan spoke the following words into a live microphone shortly before his scheduled weekly radio address to the nation: " My fellow Americans, I'm pleased to tell you today that I've signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes. " Supposedly, he meant it as a joke. Official word is, he didn't know the mic was on.
Fabrice Lig a.k.a. Soul Designer, Stewart Walker, and Trevor Loveys have each created equally outstanding remixes, to make this a seriously good ep.
